This is a short film of a supposedly uncontacted tribe meeting outsiders, being shown matches, salt, a mirror and a tape recorder for the "first" time. Their reactions are priceless whether it is real or not. Some say the footage is faked. The creator of the film Jean-Pierre Dutilleux Stated; "If the Toulambis are actors, we should give them a César Award."
There is much debate about the authenticity of the footage. Many say that it was not the first time the tribe had met outsiders, but their contact was still extremely limited meaning that the emotional nature of the footage is real and could be real for certain new things they are being shown, like the tape recorder at the end.
