Hello everyone, this is Animeman73, welcome to my first blog entry. In this entry I’d like to explain The Anime Odyssey situation. I'll also explain where I’ve been, and my forthcoming plans.

First when I got let go from Anime Odyssey, I found myself shocked, hurt, and disappointed. Truth told I didn’t think there was anything wrong, and I was enjoying being on Anime Odyssey. But make no mistake I still love Anime, talking about it, and I still have love and respect for the fans.

That said I want to say this so there’s no misconstrued context. I have no grievance towards Adam the Renaissance Nerd, Dermy Wermy or anyone. If anything, I wish everyone peace, long life, and prosperity. My experience has taught me holding grudges only leads to bitterness and resentment.

While I haven’t forgotten about Anime Odyssey, I have forgiven, and now it’s time to move on.

It's time to let go and choose a new path for me.

Now after getting let go, I was feeling depressed. But I'm fortunate in that I’ve got friends and family who are unafraid to tell it like it is. I'd like to thank my stepfather and mom for their insight into things. There are some people I’d like to thank also.

First there's Blazinmike and his mom and Aki one of my beta readers. I’d also like to thank Internet GOAT, Ada, and Tori as well as YouTubers Aerial15 and Charm City Gamer. And a special shout out to my girlfriend Peach Wookiee for giving me some great insight on things. Thank you all, I appreciate you.

Now about where I’ve been it’s like this. No sooner was I back on my feet then my day job called me up. Yes, it’s true I have a day job. I need to because it’s the only way I can make money. Unfortunately, I don’t have any patrons on Minds or Subscbribestar.

Not that I don’t have any content for viewing. In my Library there’s all kinds of content waiting. The fact remains until I can earn enough money to survive, I’m stuck with a day job. I understand people don’t have as much money as they used to, I do understand. But it doesn’t make the lack of patrons any less…disappointing.

Now to the matter of my forthcoming plans. This is where things get exciting because there's lots to talk about.

Sakura-Con 2024 is coming soon and I’ll be attending it. I'll be cosplaying as Tatsuo Kusakabe from the Miyazaki movie My Neighbor Totoro. I’ll be snapping pictures of lots of cosplayers from around the convention. I’ll be posting these pictures on the various platforms I'm on. Best of all they'll all be free of charge so check out my various platforms.  Come share in the love and beauty of cosplay.

Sakura-Con is coming up again.

I'm looking forward to bringing you all the great pictures I intend to snap there.

I’ll start putting the pictures up after I get home from the convention. I’ll put up one set of pictures per week until it’s done. I hope you’ll join me for them.

Next up I’ll be putting up an article called Sakura-Con 2024: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. In it I’ll point out what worked, what didn’t, and what needs improvement at the convention.

I started being a con critic last year because I want conventions to strive to be better. And while at it if I help get petty modern politics out of the convention scene so much the better. I’m looking forward to sharing my findings.

Some of the criteria I’ll be judging the convention on are as follows. Customer or rather attendee service. That is how fast do the staff answer questions. And how fast is the service?

A second criteria is Organization. That means how well do staff and volunteers communicate? How neat and tidy are the lines? How does everyone handle technical issues and are they on time and schedule?

And one of the most important criteria will be food variety and availability. A hungry con goer isn’t a happy con goer. And likewise, a fed conn goer is very happy. I’ll be looking at food variety and how available is it.

I’ll also be looking at the swag given out by the convention. I’ll be writing it and putting it up as soon as I get back from Sakura-Con. I hope you’ll check it out.

Next on the to do list is this. Get ready for an April shower and a May blooming with more content. I'll be doing a once-a -month blog entry to tell you about what's going on in my life and what is coming up. I'd like to get some interaction on what you would like to see on my channel. I’ll be doing movie reviews galore for your reading pleasure.

Get ready for Forbidden Planet, the grandaddy of all Science fiction movies. Sound of Freedom is next on my list. It's a contemporary adventure movie from Angel Studios that tackles a tough subject. I’ll also be doing another edition of was it really that bad? This time I’ll be looking at Dragonball Evolution.

Next up is Transformers: The Movie AKA Transformers 1986. This is an animated 1980’s kids movie with a massive body count. And somehow, I get the sense Dr. McCoy and Engineer Scott won’t be able to help with this. I’ll also be doing another edition of Underrated Gems. In it I’ll be looking at The Last Unicorn another great 1980’s animated movie.

Finally, I’ll be putting up my own review of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. I know it’ll be a bit late but better late than never.

So, get ready for an April Shower of content and a May blooming with more.

I’m real excited to deliver all this and more. If you haven’t yet be sure to subscribe to my Minds., Gab, MeWe, Truth Social, and Subscribestar channels. I’ll be putting up announcements on when my content will be up.
