Dear President Trump

Dear President Trump,
You don’t know me but I’m one of the hard-working Americans trying to make something of themselves in this country. I am legally blind, I have Asperger’s syndrome, and I refuse to be a victim. As far back as I can remember I got bullied and told that I can’t, couldn’t, or shouldn’t. Yet I’ve reached that point in my life where I’ve decided to go all out and express my own thoughts. So, I am writing you this letter to explain why I’m voting for you as well as my own thoughts and dreams.
First off, I have to say you were one of the reasons I chose to switch from Democrat to Republican. That is, it was you and Bernie Sanders' comments about how global warming caused 9/11 that convinced me. To me those comments demeaned those who got murdered on that tragic day.
I can say becoming a Republican has been very liberating. Because it means I’m not walking on eggshells anymore. That’s not to say there aren’t problems in the party. But I can see that the party is working to improve itself. I'm a second Dan black Belt in taekwondo so I know the value of self-improvement.
It’s good to see you’re accomplishing the vision of Ronald Reagan of a big tent party.
To be where I'm judged based on my abilities and content of character is more than I could've asked for. So, I will always be grateful to you for inspiring me to jump over to my current affiliation.
Now that said there are problems that need to get addressed should you win the presidency. These issues are in my very strong opinion some of the most important to this country.
1. Mental Health
This topic is a very personal issue for me. I am of the very strong belief that mental health is the great challenge of the 21st century. The fact of matters is very few Republicans have addressed this issue very well. Many have unfortunately chosen to ignore the issue. Now to be fair that's not to say all Republicans have.
A good example of someone who has is former Oregon Congressman Gordon Smith. He brought the issue up after the tragic death of his son years ago
Another example is former Republican gubernatorial candidate Knute Buehler. His run for the governorship wasn't successful. But the fact he brought this issue up pleased me as it needs addressing now.
To me the elites in the Democrats have been celebrating mental illness. And it's because they use it to manipulate people and gain power for themselves. That’s a rather Machiavellian way of thinking from my perspective. Mental Illness is something that should not get ostracized. But mental illness shouldn't get celebrated either.
We should see mental illness for what it is. The U.S. needs to start developing new treatments and even cures for mental ailments. We have a golden opportunity to make a better nation with a more balanced and productive people.
We need to discover and address the root causes of mental illness running amuck in this country. Now unfortunately part of it can get blamed on social media. Yet social media can also play a part in being the solution. All technology has the potential for good and bad. It boils down to the people and how it’s used which matters.
We need to look for ways to provide a balance and sense of well-being so people can lead more productive lives.
In my own experience I got bullied and subjected to a lot. But it’s been thanks to my family, friends, writing, and Taekwondo that I find the greatest balance. That in turn allows me to lead a more productive life. Balance in all things is how we find solutions.
2. Out of control crime
I live in Portland, Oregon, a blue city which used to be a nice place to live. But far-left ideas of public officials and those who voted for them have turned the city into a nightmare. Rampant crime, groups of ANTIFA thugs, and homelessness have near destroyed this city. Our public officials refusing to charge the perpetrators has aggravated matters. It's put this city into a very bad state.
Now the good news is my city has had a change. Mike Schmidt will soon get replaced with one Nathan Vasquez as D.A. of Multnomah County. I hope and pray to God he does a better job than Schmidt has. I’m sick and tired of seeing leniency on felony crimes. It's turned so many cities into a cross of a dystopian nightmare and a zombie apocalypse movie.
All one need do is look at the sorry state of downtown Portland to see how bad things have gotten. Now I’m thankful that I live a good distance from the downtown area. But it doesn’t change the fact the crime and even rampant homelessness have come out to my neck of the woods.
I want Portland and Oregon to be great again. But it’s so frustrating when I try to speak up and everyone silences me then calls me things I'm not. All because I have ideas that would work better than theirs. The surest sign of insanity is someone trying the same bad ideas over again hoping for a better outcome. At least that's how I remember that adage going.
Some would ask “Well why don’t you move out of Oregon?”
First, I love this state and the mild weather here. The second reason is the subject of my next topic. This is a big one to me Mister President.
3. Unable to support myself
I am an independent writer and don’t make a lot of money. My day job as a humble courtesy clerk helps. But I'm frustrated because I want to do more. I want people to pay to read my fiction and get away from the world for a while.
Don’t get me wrong I appreciate all that the store I work at has done. I appreciate all my private sector union has done. But I don’t want to only survive I want to thrive improve and become the very best I can be. I want to put myself in a position where I can move if I must while I stay in my home.
I want to do more than put money away for retirement. I want to put money away to travel and see different parts of the country. I want to go meet different and interesting people all over this nation. I realize my visual impairment and Asperger’s make that harder, but I still want to do so.
I will admit I would love to come to one of your rallies Mister President. I’ve seen video footage of them and all the people there look so friendly and warm. To afford to go meet up with fellow Trump supporters would be good for my mind and spirit.
I also want that peace of mind and steady income so I know my own golden years will be secure. Money may not buy happiness but some extra money to do stuff would help make me feel better about myself. I don't want to be one of those who's alone and isolated because of beliefs and lack of funds.
4. The price of groceries and things
To be fair not every problem in this country got started because of Biden. But those problems that Biden didn’t cause his bad policies have aggravated. Because I work at a grocery store, I notice things. For example, last I checked a package of Tillamook Cheese costs $6.99 per package. One would think that Tillamook cheese would cost less since it’s made in Oregon.
But nope Tillamook cheese costs quite a bit. In fact, everything's more expensive these days. I recently bought some Shampoo, sun block, and some packages of cookies. It all came out to over $50.00 which is insane! Everything is getting way too expensive for its own good.
Meanwhile we have elites in D.C. who keep lying and saying everything is fine. Prices on groceries and gas are skyrocketing out of control. Crazy Green New Deal policies that make no sense are getting instituted. And these D.C. elites have the audacity to say everything is fine? No, everything is not fine, in fact things are a mess.
President Trump I can say your policies made for a great economy. We need things to cost less which will help people do more. And that means less regulation and more opportunities for home grown U.S. companies to start. Being that I'm a card-carrying believer in capitalism I subscribe to this train of thought. More competition means lower prices and more goods and services on the market.
More competition means more jobs and better customer service. I may not be any economics major but that’s the way I see things. It’s all quite simple and logical.
5. Stop the constant wars
Since Biden took office, we have gotten involved in two international conflicts. First there’s the Ukraine, a war we have no business being in. This seems more like a territorial dispute between two dictators. Mr. president we both know that Zelensky is nothing more than a petty dictator. Vladimir Putin is a tyrant too without a doubt.
But this is a situation where the Ukranian and Russian people are going to have to deal with this problem. We must get our equipment and people out of this proxy war because it could and is doing a lot of damage to our country. This whole thing seems more like a war that benefits the Biden family alone.
Also, we need to step back from the Israel conflict. Don’t get me wrong we should support our ally in the Middle East. And we need to demand the release of the Americans held by Hamas. But we should allow Netanyahu to deal with Hamas and Hezbollah. The Israeli military is some of the very best. They can handle their own when the situation gets tough.
What we should do is stand behind Israel and support them all the way. We don’t have to agree with them on everything. But we should support them especially when faced with the alternatives. And that's the subject of the next topic.
6. The threat of Illegal immigration and the ungrateful
Mister president we have a couple of very bad situations in this country. The first is the invasion of our southern borders by illegal immigrants. I have no problem with immigrants who come here via the proper means. My problem has to do with those who break our laws to get into this country.
Central and South America aren't the only places they're coming from. They’re also coming from Russia, Africa, even China. I fear some from Africa are violent radicalized Islamists. In the case of the Chinese some of them could be CCP agents. It’s no secret the CCP would love to have this country enslaved or out of the way.
Iran and any number of petty dictators around the world would also love that.
Yet Biden and even Kamala Harris keep this mass migration going. Worse many state and local governments are giving resources to these illegals. I suspect the Democrats are doing this to create a voting block to stay in power. This is a cheap tactic that only destroys a country. This is petty and undermines our voting process.
Then there’s the Anti-Israeli protests which are little more than riots. That begs the question what is getting taught in our schools and universities. I don’t pretend to know the whole story. But from what I’ve seen it doesn’t look good.
It would seem the rumors of Communists sneaking into our schools has proven true. And these people have some serious hatred for the U.S. and the Jewish people. And they’re passing that on to our young people. Along with their desire to support Hamas and Hezbollah. That in turn makes our young people resentful of the freedoms and liberties we have here.
The old saying does hold true. It does take only one generation to lose all the freedoms we’ve gained. It’s way overdue time to finish and modernize that border wall you had in mind. And we also need to see what’s going on in our institutions. And see about defunding this Communist nonsense.
On a personal note, there is a way to counter this Marxist nonsense. There is a certain book that’s been out of print for some time that needs to come back into print. This book also needs to become required reading in school. The book I have in mind is The Gulag Archipelago. This book is the ultimate moral indictment of Communism and Marxism.
It’s time to make it clear to our young people how terrible and evil Communism and Marxism are. We do so by exposing them to the hard truth of what they are. I would also recommend exposing our young people to the book and movie version of The Killing Fields. They tell the story of a Reporter and his Cambodian guide. The two bear witness to the Khamir Rouge's rise to power.
Let’s see how much our young people decide to glorify Marxism when exposed to the horrific reality of it.
Now that I've listed 6 of the issues that matter most to me, I'll explain why I'm voting for you. I choose to vote for you President Trump because of your warrior's spirit and love for this country. You may not be perfect, but you have a lion’s heart and are exactly what this country needs. To be fair Saul of Tarsis AKA Paul wasn't perfect and he went on to do great things. I will stand with you through thick and thin president Trump.
I see you as the great hope for this country. The one who can help bring down the D.C. machine that seeks to destroy this country for their own personal gain. I see you as a man who can usher in a new age of peace and prosperity for this country. And I believe that with a cooperative Congress you can and will get things done.
I would like to offer up a couple of suggestions to you Mister President. I hope you don't mind taking advice from a humble grocery store worker. When you win the presidency, you need to fire the upper level of the D.C. bureaucracy. They are part of the D.C. machine. They've become too big for their own good and it's about time they got brought into line.
And by firing these bureaucrats you'll be saving the taxpayers millions.
This election is no longer about Democrat vs. Republican or Liberal vs. Conservative. This is now the people and reality against the D.C. machine. And this is a battle the people must win for this country's future. The machine has the following groups as members. D.C. bureaucrats, corrupt politicians, and activists stirring up trouble.
All said groups locked in a conspiracy of convenience And I know enough to recognize that if they get what they want…they'll turn on each other. Then the real chaos in this country will start. Tyrants are not known for sharing power as that's human nature. And it's something I realize you understand president Trump.
These people like to talk about protecting democracy. Yet all indications are they’re seeking to destroy everything. That's why the D.C. machine is one of the biggest threats to this country right now. For the betterment of the United States of America we must stop this conspiracy. The last thing I want to see is any kind of civil war.
A second civil war would do this country no good. The first one did tremendous damage to this country. Another civil war could do far worse. And I'm without a doubt tired of the insane tribalism the media and the machine have pushed. Especially when the problem comes from hateful individuals with a Machiavellian mindset.
I would also suggest this to you President Trump. When you get to D.C. bring along a team of Elliott Ness style Untouchables. Work together and go full scorched earth on the machine. And show these aspiring Communist tyrants why messing with the U.S. is not something to do.
I wish you God’s speed President Trump. You and the Republican party are our best hope to save this nation. In the meantime, for you, JD Vance, and your families I will offer up this last piece of advice. Continue as you are, but take care and be on your guard. The corrupt forces that seek the destruction of us all will try and come after you again.
As we draw closer to the election, they will become bolder and more brazen. Yet remember they will also become more desperate. And that will open the way to the machine making a mistake. Desperation leads to cloudy thinking. When that happens do not hesitate.
Pounce on the mistake and expose these corrupt individuals for who and what they are. These people like to play dirty games with this country. So, let's see how they like it when we get dirty and humiliate them by showing who they are.
