The Star-Sword of hope

This is part of their #IBASwordtember challenge on Minds.
I thought this would be fun. So, here we go with my vignette. The challenge for Day 1 is Star.
Sosoria, Goddess of Magic and Battle, lifted the crystalline blade she'd finished.
The exquisite ghost blue sword sparkled with the light of primal magic.
The purple-clad goddess examined the exquisite blade she'd crafted by her own power.
It's a shame the heroes of this world will never use this. But the dark forces that have corrupted fate are too strong. The Goddess thought.
Yet, this sword would be the key to breaking the cycle of battle and sacrifice.
The Goddess grimaced as she felt the strands of the darkness beginning to pry at her mind.
“With this last gesture of free will, I send you forth Crystal Blade," Sosoria commanded.
"Go forth. Find the Chosen Warrior. He who will free the Mystic Maidens from the chains of battle and sacrifice we suffer under!”
With those words the blade transformed into a star of purple light. It zoomed off into space, towards its unknown destination.
The dark powers broke through her shields. They filled her mind with false promises of an end to this nightmare.
Yet as the Goddess succumbed to the dark power, a faint hope clung to her. Please free us of this madness, she thought.
Then the darkness overcame her.
