Having used/ posted original content on Gab for over a year... This put me in territory to write a expert synopsis that will help you decide if Gab is a place for you to be in this year 2020.
Are you a writer, reader? Do you seek out written content? What are your thoughts on Free Speech? Why have you chosen to look further into Gab, read this post? How does Gab compare to other social media competitors? Who is running Gab? Where do "Gabs" become visible outside of Gab?
I asked Gab General Chat what to say in this blog, these were responses received within minutes from other Gab users on this Subject

Why have you chosen to look further into Gab, read this post? -To many unknown/changing rules on other platforms consistently, - to many advertisements on other platforms, - shadow banning on other platforms, -censorship on other platforms + Gab has better word count then 300 letters, +gifs, +1-2 min vids, +photos ok on gab,+ dissenter, +Gab Chat, +alt tech, +more.
How does Gab compare to other social media competitors? Free speech, little to no porn, unlimited hashtags, no secret algorithm, open source, original graphic design looks, engaged community, growing user base consistently, more.
Who is running Gab? From what i understand/know, Andrew Torba, Rob Colbert, probably around minimally 4-10 other main people. Anyone can run their own server to become their own owner of a platform too, create their own rules with using Gabs free code source.
Where do "Gabs" become visible outside of Gab? Different Instances on different servers, throughout fediverse to servers whom allow Gab to be seen.
