James Fox Higgins has been a storyteller his whole life. Moving through varied ambitions in his early youth, from science-fiction comic book artist, to actor, to novelist, to screenwriter, James finally settled on musician at the age of eight and began preparing for a career as a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter.
James has worked his whole adult life as a professional entertainer, performing around the world in various original acts, as well as making a living in the world of corporate and private functions. James has attended more weddings as a singer than he likes to admit.
As a solo artist, James Fox Higgins has released three self-produced albums to date. He now spends most of his week producing music for other artists out of the recording studio he designed and built himself on a rural property in the Byron Bay region in Australia.
It wasn’t until his late twenties, during a crisis of identity, and a desperate feeling of emptiness and hopelessness for the world, that he discovered philosophy and began a self-directed personal course in rational metaphysics and philosophical literature.
James identifies as an Anarcho-Capitalist, and wholeheartedly embraces (and tries to exemplify and teach) the Non-Aggression Principle.
Deciding to combine his many passions, and his deepening awareness of objective reality into a public declaration and major creative work, he co-founded The Rational Rise – a blog and youTube channel dedicated to rational thought on philosophy, news, politics, arts & science.
At the same time, he began planning and research for The Ghosts of Men trilogy, starting with The Ghost of Emily.
James Fox Higgins believes that a deeper observation and understanding of objective reality, and a commitment to truth-telling in the political, metaphysical and emotional spheres, is the key to human evolution and the only way to make the good in mankind triumph over evil.
That is his purpose and intention in writing The Ghosts of Men trilogy.
