Songs of Humanity
I type this with a heavy heart and from the notes of humanity,
I have seen the best minds of my generation destroyed by social media, youtube, youporn, starving hysterical naked, dragging themselves through the digital streets at dawn looking for an angry click fix, cyber hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly connection to the starry dynamo in the technology of the void.
America has been in (present) shock
For far too long now
The social media chaos is just beginning to leak out
Of our screens into the streets
As I read the news scroll, 50 dead and blood in the streets
I can’t help but think all is lost, hopeless and useless
“We want to show everyone,
That we are not just a meme”
Echoes in my head
America has been a mess for a while now
America you have taken all and now we are nothing
Digital media has poisoned Humanity,
Has bombarded the world with hate and division,
Has marched us toward a mechanical death
Striding the desolate sand to the ocean of our fears.
We have developed Networks, but we have shut ourselves in
Technology that gives abundance, but has left us in want
Our Information has left us confused
Our Knowledge has made us cynical
Our cleverness, hard and unkind
We think too much and feel too little
More than technology we need humanity
More than knowledge we need wisdom
More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness
Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost….
In this world, there is room for a whole array of possibilities.
And the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone.
The way of life can be free and beautiful,
But our binary hearts have left us detached and cold
We have lost our way,
How humanity is really like
We all want to help one another
We want to live by each other’s happiness
Not by each other’s misery
We don’t want to hate and despise one another,
We want to connect, come together, and think
And play, love, cry, and hear each other
In order to touch and be touched by,
The beauty, intelligence, and creativity that we need
The felt experience of connection to another being
An economist says 'more for you is less for me.'
But the lover knows that more of you is more for me too.
If you love somebody their happiness is your happiness.
Their pain is your pain.
Your sense of self expands to include other beings.
This shift of consciousness is universal in every being.
The internet has brought everything at our fingertips
The very nature of these inventions cries out
For the goodness in humanity,
Cries out for universal love,
For the unity of us all
In deep sadness there is no place for sentimentality.
This is not sentimentality, shallow,
uncomplicated emotions at the expense of reason.
This is practical deep nature logic
Not so we can just survive, but that we can thrive
A sentimentalist is one who desires to have
the luxury of an emotion without paying for it.
I pay for my love, in blood, sweat and tears
Every day of my life
I have seen the best and worst of humanity
And even in this darkness,
It still illuminates into infinity
To those who can hear me, I say - do not despair.
The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of the tide
the bitterness of beings who fear the way of human progress.
The hate of humanity will pass, and dictators die,
the sunsets and the moon rises,
and the heartbeat of the universe will always beat,
the songs of eternity will always play,
it's up to us to listen, and dance with infinity
We are unconsciously connection to all beings
The united states of humanity
Trying to form a more perfect unity
Trying to establish ecology
Trying to ensure sustainability
Trying to provide peace
Trying to promote love
Trying to secure the bliss of beauty,
To the whole of reality.
Humanity! don’t give yourselves to lesser angels of our nature
people who despise you, enslave you, who regiment your lives,
tell you what to do, what to think and what to feel!
Who scan you, data mine you, treat you like 1s and 0s, use you as statistics.
Don’t give yourselves to these unnatural beings,
machine beings with digital minds and technical hearts!
You are not machines! You are not binary! You are living beings!
You have the love of humanity in your hearts! You don’t hate!
Only the unloved hate - the unloved and the unnatural!
Humanity! Don’t fight for death! Live for beauty and liberty!
Listen to the better angels of our nature:

not one man nor a group of men, but in all of humanity! In you!
Because the main thing in the universe, is nameless
So I give it the name beauty,
The lord and king of the cosmos
Sitting on a throne made of invisible ink
Now, beauty is beauty
That's all there is too it
If you're interested in yourself,
Then you are stuck with yourself
And stuck with your death
But if you get interested in beauty
Then you latched onto something
Deep inside your soul
That grows and and grows
Like a secret insane thought
Until you're it.
You, the people have the power
The power to create machines.
The power to create beauty!
The power to create happiness!
You, the people, have the power to create
this life free and beautiful,
to make this life a wonderful adventure.
In the name of Humanity, let us use that power, let us all unite.
Let us create a new world, a decent world that
will give humanity a chance to live, love and create,
that will give youth a future and old age a sense of love.
Now let us program a new operating system for humanity!
Let us write a new free world, to do away with divisions,
to do away with greed, with hate and intolerance.
Let us program a world of reason, a world where
science, art, and progress will lead to all of humanity to happiness.
Humanity! in the name of love and beauty, let us all unite!
