Freedom’s Journey

My soul takes flight.

Ocean waves beneath me.

Mountain tops before me.

Twinkling stars above me.

Time pitched hard against me.

Space expands around me.

Lonely heart deserts me.

Tear-stained cheeks exclude me.

My eyes are red with misery.

Memorize.

Fantasize.

Reminisce.

Think.

Stare. 

Sigh.

Cry.

Fly.

Emotions bleeding sorrow.

No hope for some tomorrow.

The angels grieve to see,

How fools love so impatiently.

Her tender touch beguiles me.

My intellect grows branches.

Thoughts cling to far off chances.

She sends me on my way.

My soul takes flight.
