What inspired you to run for the Ward Four commissioner seat in Callaway?

The desire to serve the community and WE THE PEOPLE of Callaway. As a residence for most of my adult life, I've seen Callaway grow and prosper and I want to make sure we don't have any of the issues that have popped up in other Bay County municipalities with criminal investigations.

How do your past experiences in the Libertarian Party of Bay County and involvement in political campaigns prepare you for this role?

My involvement in the LP and politics in general, allows me to be familiar with the issues as well as with how the meat gets made. Politics can be dirty and I hope my background and ideology will allow me to earn the trust of Callaway residents.

What specific initiatives or changes do you hope to bring to Callaway if elected as commissioner?

My main objective is to keep Callaway operating in a fiscally conservative manner while still addressing the needs of the community. I will be diligent when voting to spend taxpayer funds in a way that makes sense and as if it were out of my own pocket, because in part it is. Proof of that, is my campaign fundraising. At least 60% of it, came from my own pocket.

You mentioned prioritizing citizen engagement. How do you plan to actively engage with and represent the diverse voices within Callaway?

I will have an open door policy and I'm committed to responding to any phone call or email I receive. As a candidate I've already hosted and attended several events to give Callaway residents an opportunity to address concerns with me and that won't change once elected

Are there any particular challenges or issues facing Ward Four that you aim to address during your campaign?

While I'm running for Ward 4, I'll represent all of Callaway and treat all residents and businesses with that in mind. I hope to allow businesses of all sizes thrive in Callaway allowing for more and better job opportunities to our community.

How do you plan to collaborate with existing commissioners and city officials to achieve your goals for Callaway?

Having attended commission meetings over the last few years I've had the fortune to meet several of the current commissioners and believe that will give them some familiarity with me and hopefully lead to a good working relationship. At the end of the day I'm here to improve Callaway and as long as the other members are working in good faith, everything will work out.

In your announcement, you emphasized delivering results rather than making promises. Could you elaborate on some concrete strategies you intend to implement?

The best strategy is listening to the real leaders of Callaway, 'THE PEOPLE'. I'll take action, based on what they say, do and need. A classic truth is, "Actions speak louder than words." My actions will be their actions. Legally, the office is called 'City Councilman'. But, I'll voluntarily call myself, 'City Representative'."

What, in your opinion, makes Callaway unique, and how do you envision its growth and development in the coming years?

Callaway is truly a great place to raise a family, to work, and to worship. I choose to live here because I truly believe it is a great small town with great people.

How do you plan to balance the interests of different stakeholders within Ward Four while making decisions as a commissioner?

I will take anyone's opinion into consideration, but at the end of the day it is up to me to do what I believe is best and I'll do that through prayer.

Could you share your thoughts on the role of transparency and accountability in local governance, and how you plan to uphold these principles if elected?

If I see something I think is not right, I will call it out. If I here about corruption I'll investigate. I'm not going to turn a blind eye just because I know or work with someone. As many may know there's been all sorts of accountability issues in Bay County since Hurricane Michael and I'm here to make sure that doesn't happen in Callaway.
