Interview with David Paul Actor
David Paul was a Walk-on for the CBA minor league team for the LA Clippers in 85 until he broke his foot . He then played in a lot of leagues to try to get back where he once was but could never get there again. He then became a pro athlete in the sport of Bowling. He bowled for 1 full season on the (PBA) tour until he injured his back. He then went after another passion and that was acting. He not only does acting but wanted to push the envelope more and became a Casting Director, Scout Locator, Producer, and Story Writer. As of now he has been in over 55 projects and his goal is to make 10 movies on his bucket list coming in the next few years.
Can you share a story that everyone should know about you got into acting?
I fell into acting when I was rehabbing my back from a bowling match and a woman slipped me her casting director card and asked if I would be interested in acting , if so call me , you have the look for it. The next day I called her and fell in love with acting ever since.
Can you share your most enjoyable project and a memorable story related to it?
There is a few films I enjoyed playing roles in like Lycan Gorge which is on you tube, I love werewolf movies and this is one of them . Another movie I enjoyed was Devils Knight, I’m a history Buff and Medival Time Era was one of my favorites and this movie is based around that Era, this movie will be released beginning of next year, I like ghost movies so Bloody Nun was one of those which will be released hopefully by next month sometime, and I created a story called The Secret Mechanic. I enjoyed that one because it’s the first movie I have ever made by a last min idea that came to me and we filmed it on a weekend.
Can you share a story about your recent work or what you have planned for the future?
Some upcoming movies you will see me doing and creating will be The Secret Mechanic which will be released this Friday on you tube and I’m writing with a friend of mine a movie called PAIN , it’s about a pro Football player who is rehabbing his knee and is going home to rest up while he sees fans asking for his autograph, he gets out of his car to sign until there’s this one woman who is a diehard fan of his kidnaps him, wakes up tied up in her basement and she has the pleasure of torturing him . I can’t give more details right now lol. And a few others.
Which individuals in the entertainment industry have you had the opportunity to collaborate with?
I enjoyed working with celebs like Kevin Sorbo, Eric Roberts, Angie Everhart, Other talented people like John Wells, Robert Standley, Darryl Goldberg, Steven Ciceron. Many many others.
Who or what serves as your inspiration in the entertainment industry?
I’m a history buff so I love Medival Time Era. Devils Knight was a dream come true for me to live in that kind of world. There’s more but this tops it all.
Who or what serves as your inspiration in the entertainment industry?
There are a handful of people that have had a huge influence on me in the industry mainly Darryl Goldberg, Steven Ciceron, Nick Kersey, Andrew Jacob Brown, there is a lot more people but these guys NEVER GIVE UP and CONSTANTLY GRIND night in and night out every single day. When nobody gives them credit and nobody gives them the respect they deserve , they say I’m still going hard until they do respect my talent. That is AWESOME and they make me that much more determined as well. It’s a very tough industry, A lot of people are backstabber, they talk mean things behind your backs and spread rumors to other sites tor to not bring you on set because they can’t find a role to be in and love to cause nonsense drama. You just have to stay strong not listen to what other people say about you and. Keep pushing and making movies .
