If it all went down, What do you have? Food? Water? Silver? Guns? If so how much? If no you will want to prepare, with at least 6 months of food, water and a way to protect it. Don’t break the bank prepping though (more on this later in the blog). Do you not have excess food, water and a way to protect it? Do you have Smart phones? Computers? Etc. If there was no power, Internet, no running water, what would you do. If you had a wife and she came to you telling you “the baby is starving, go get food”, where would you go to get food? Kill your neighbor? Rob them or someone else? If you knew in advanced to prepare would you? Wouldn’t you want to be prepared? If you don’t ever need to use it wouldn’t it feel good to be prepared just in case?
Firstly, you can start with buying food that will last long term. Like rice, beans, peanut butter. You will want to preserve what you buy in mylar bags, taking out the air and moisture to avoid mold from forming, or by canning your food. Another option you could go with is buying freeze dried food, from websites like mypatriotsupply. You will also need water, and a way to filter the water. Something like life straws are a good idea to get.
You will also need a way to protect your resources, whilst I myself is not familiar with them, firearms would be good for self defense, with rounds to go along with them.
Something else you should buy is: knifes, axes, machetes, etc. Make sure you can carry at least a few of these.
This list is for just ‘getting started’ and should only start to give you ideas, I recommend you doing research on what you need to get. Things to consider are: “What will the weather be like?”, “What will be in the area?”, “How close to a populated area am I”?
It is never too late to start preparing until it is too late. Lastly, try to prep secretly, you will be better off not telling anyone and not having them coming to you for food then telling them.
