These wildly unique, pod-shaped buildings were developed by British inventor Chris Sneesby and the model was so popular that one American developer, Judy Bernier, decided to create her own version.
The Podzook is now the first licensed U.S. manufacturer of the Archipods, a spherical garden office/playroom/workspace.
The building stands over 8 feet tall and is 9 1/2 feet in diameter. It's built from curved plywood, high-performance foil insulation and vapor barrier, as well as a fiberglass reinforcement that minimizes air leakage. The floor is made from reclaimed hardwood and has a radiant floor heating component. Natural light is visible through the window and skylight.

The pod is perfect for a home office or even a playroom, though the pricetag is not cheap. Because of the modifiability, it can cost an owner anywhere from $32,000 to $40,000
Here's an interesting slideshow of the design with some distorted mod-rock playing in the background.
