The superheroes of the ACRONVERSE

Inspired by the popular heroes of Marvel and DC Comics, the ACRONVERSE has its own superheroes who guard the people of their cities from crime, injustice and the forces of darkness.

They are called The Deplorables

Spun by the mainstream media as the villains of the state, neo-nazis or homegrown terrorists, they remain hiding in the shadows, battling the forces of wealth-paid criminals. Outcast to the few, and heroes to the many, the Deplorables have since become urban legends. They meet at a secret headquarters located somewhere in middle America, but they operate all over the world.

While there are many many members, some of the best known ones are as follows:

KnightGuard - The leader of the Deplorables, KnightGuard mainly operates out of Los Angeles. His powers include super strength and hightened endurance. Not much is known about his origins.

Sentinel - Not much is known about Sentinel aside from his name (Gary Richards) which many believe is itself an alias. He is the only hero to wear a helmet and many suspect that the helmet helps him control his powers. His origin and powers remain a mystery. He operates in New York state.

Guardian - Believed by many to be of asian descent due to the Valour and Honour kanji embroidered on his suit. Guardian mostly operates in Nebraska where people have described seeing a blur of black and red saving their lives with a metal clank of a katana.

The Eye - Endowed with the powers of gamma vision due to a childhood accident, The Eye is able to see through anything, though whenever he utilizes his vision, he leaves behind a trace of gamma radiation.

TimeWarp - She has the ability to interact with time. She is generally able to manipulate time on a quantum level, but she has, as yet, not achieved her full potential. She often has visions of events in the near future and she is able to use her abilities to detect temporal disturbances caused by people with abilities.

DiamondShade - Laser physics expert whom suffered a lab accident which left his body out of phase with the rest of the universe. He is now able to control shadows and darkness itself to deliver justice.

CopyCat - Former cat burglar with classical acting training, she is a master of disguise. She is able to become anyone the mission requires and her performances are always flawless.

QuantumWave - With his ability to control any wave in the electromagnetic spectrum, QuantumWave has often been responsible for the team's continued invisibility. Able to shroud both light and sound waves into obscurity, he has made sure that the team is never seen, percieved or caught on cameras.

MonoChrome - Formerly employed by the FCG, he has since abandoned the company. With his background in law, he was often forced to interpret the law in favour of FCG and their agenda, but since his powers emerged, he sees the world in a more clear-cut, black and white way. He is said to poses telepathy and is able to tell when someone is lying.

UltraMan - One of the two Ultra siblings. UltraMan embodies the American mid-west and family values. Operating mainly in Minnesota, he uses his super strength, engenuity and speed to assist with natural disaster relief.

UltraWoman - Working alongside her brother, she has been making the American mid-west a pleasant place to live. Using her abilities to clothe and feed those affected by natural disasters. On several occasions she has been named an enemy of FEMA due to her efficiency in solving the crisis.

The Deplorables also have a subgroup of heroes named for their unique elemental abilities called the Elemental Quads:

Flow - Able to control water in any environment, she works with her Quad to bring balance to the world.

Rocky - His ability to move the Earth has been passed through the ages from father to son. Along with the rest of the Quad, they seek to bring balance to the world.

Burn - Fire controlling rebel, he was the last to join the Elemental Quads and one of the final members to join the Deplorables. Having been comatosed for fourteen years after a fire killed his family, he awoke with the ability to control the subatomic bonds of fire itself.

Gust - Air weilding kid from North Dakota, she is the only one in the world with the ability to weild air. This ability also seems to extend to any type of gasseous.

 

The Deplorables are set to appear in the ACRONVERSE series 'Roxy Starr' and 'Ordinary'
