There has been a lot of controversy about boosting in MINDS recently. I've chimed in and I'll continue to voice my opinion on the matter because I believe it is very important. Very important for the survival of MINDS and I would love to see MINDS succeed.
I do NOT want anyone deciding for me what I should be able to view and/or read in MINDS. That is my choice. My decision that NO one can make for me.
Boosting is the primary and easiest way to find blogs, channels, and posts that I may be interested in. That is the reason why I elected to keep receiving boosted content although I have the option to turn it off as a Plus user.
Another way to discover new blogs, channels, and posts is for them to be reminded by channels I'm subscribed to. Again, someone else is making the choice for me.
Sure, I can go to the featured posts and channels. Yet again, someone else is making the choice for me.
Perhaps the simple solution is to allow anyone to opt out of boosted content. Not just Plus users.
Just my 2 cents.
The banner photo was taken at the Orlando International Airport on September 6, 2017. We were waiting for the elevator and the pattern on the rug caught my eye.
