Regardless of whether you believe there is a need to regulate tech giants, or that the call to regulate the internet is a trap, I think most people would agree that it's probably worthwhile to seek out alternatives.

Regardless of whether you believe all of the tools and services that have alternatives listed for them are big, bloated, censorship happy behemoths, I think most people will agree that the they have less power over us, when we are able to seek out alternatives.

On this page, you will find a list of alternatives to many commonly used tools and services, provided by tech giants. The focus is on tools and services that provide a greater degree of privacy, and a greater degree of resistance to censorship.

Let me know what you thinking of the alternative options, to services provided by tech giants.   If you are aware of alternatives that should be listed, but aren't, tell me about them, and let me know why they should be on the list.  Let me know your thoughts, in the comments. (but keep your comments civil, and safe for work..)

Help me get the word out, about these alternative tech tools and  services. Re-mind this post, share it on other social media platforms, and show to family and friends.
