When Did @boostershot Start up?

Who operates the channel?
It is one of many channels created by @markrwatson and is part of the channel group headed by @TheGreatGameOfMinds. It is by far, the most active channel by points and subscribers of all related channels to date.
What is the purpose of @boostershot?
To #crowdboost Content Creators by dramatically increasing their views of select content, in hopes of eventually kick-starting them on the road to monetization and success.
What is a #crowdboost?
In #Minds, each user is given 50 points per hour they are active in a given channel. They may also trade points, and boost other users content. It is possible to give a few points to tens of thousands of points between users. Generally, the average user may not accumulate that many points, but they might easily get 500 or 1000 points or more they could use to boost a single or multiple posts.
Looking into this further, it is rare for a single post to get over 10,000 views, usually less than half if they are lucky. This is probably a reflection of the current user base of @Minds as a new platform and will improve in the future. Also, Some channels in @Minds have lots of subscribers, but at last count (@TheGreatGameOfMinds) less than 60 had at least 20,000 subscribers and only one had at least 80,000. No one has broken 100,000 subscribers yet.
So #crowdboost-ing is a way to gather smaller #Minds #Points donations 100, 200, 500+ and other larger donations of any size, together to form what we call a @boostershot, which is our brand of #crowdboost-ing as a general term, a particular post, blog, video, art, podcast, etc that subscribers help us determine as worthy of a very large boost in views.
What is an alpha shot?
We wanted a way of showing that we were in the development stages for how @boostershots would be delivered, and are watching how they perform. When we settle on the exact size and methods of what is a @boostershot, we will describe it with data to back it up. In the meantime, Minds has a limit per boost of 5000, so we are boosting 10,000 views by doing a 2x5000 newsfeed and sideboost of a post. We do not wish to spam. We hope to encourage the development of a #crowdboost and #megaboost feed that can be selected or deselected by users who wish to participate so that #crowdboosts can exceed 10,000 views/points up to 100,000?? and #megaboosts (those who have been boosted by one account in excess of 10,000 points) can be seen by those who select those feeds. A regular Minds boost will still be limited to 5000.
Why not just spend $10 or $100 to get the views more quickly?
Fair question. We believe that by increasing our subscribers (we want to be a 100K+ channel) we will be able to create #crowdboosts on the fly, generating even 100,000 #crowdboosts very quickly among all our growing subscribers. We will be able to continually boost great content and that our subscribers will give this channel a life of its own by suggesting and agreeing to crowdboost on their own through our channel. They will give us continual recommendations, sending our channel points and letting us know by posting into our channel what they want, and we will create the boost and set it off.
We believe we will help promote channels currently even below the bottom rung of our quintile ladder channels @Minds20K @Minds40K @Minds60K @Minds80K and @Minds100K up and up the ladder, and as they increase in subscribers and views, they will take on a life of their own, sustaining through monetization. These will become the success stories of @Minds as a platform.
When #Minds is the go-to platform for content creators to increase viewership and monetization, the buzz will attract and pull users and content creators away from @legacysocialmedia to this platform. Users will #Wire content creators and thus @Minds will have a tidal wave of #thegreatmigration
What is the first goal to reach? WE DID IT!!!

At which point we will select the content to #crowdboost with some subscriber input, then set off our first @boostershot. We expect to do our first video for the channel when we reach our goal. For our own growth, we require anyone we #crowdboost, to first be a @boostershot subscriber!

Leg 1. Curators, this is the open group (please join!), of subscribers who wish to help curate which Minds content among our subscribers is worth promoting via @boostershot.
Leg 2. TheCrowd, this is an open group (please join!), of subscribers who give points regularly, once in a while, or in large amounts. Unfortunately the ticker tally in Minds of those who donate is hard to role back enough to check, so by joining, you can regularly record your points donation more permanently. Right now, based on our current suscribers, we need about 50 to 100 points daily from everyone to keep up the momentum. That will change as we increase our base.
What about @boostershot monetization?

We will be generating membership items, maybe a coffee mug, or swag and threads, we are working on it. Your feedback will be helpful. You will belong to the entire network @TheGreatGameofMinds channels with access to members-only areas. There is going to be a promotion for all new members in 2018 as Charter Members. We are building it out. Donations of any amount are accepted, and appreciated, but donations totaling $600 or more in a year require a 1099-Misc report. We will provide refunds within 30 days of a donation if you no longer wish to support our efforts.
Is there any content you will not #crowdboost?
We believe in Free Speech and we do not want to see users banned from @Minds because of their content, that some find objectionable, nevertheless, it is our policy not to promote philosophies or representations that promote genocide, actual malicious physical harm to others, fraud, or similar aggression. In this, we take a libertarian stance on the Golden Rule. We will also not #crowdboost Porn. So we will not promote content advocating these things. Other than that, we will of course abide by Terms of Service and other policies of @Minds we all agree to by using this service.
