One of a myriad buildings involved in processing solid rocket propellant at a former explosives factory. The propellant paste was transported on tramways between well spaced process buildings to minimise the risk of catastrophic incidents.
This site has been left to rot for nearly 30 years since production ceased, and whilst developers greedily eye the massive tract of prime realestate, the toxic legacy of ww1 & 2 war efforts has so far stalled plans to flog off multi million dollar homes. A real win for the curious 😀
This photo is taken a stones throw from Melbourne city centre. Completely engulfed by suburbia, the sense of isolation here is profound.

Matter of fact, I've got it now.
Aussies over 20 will know what I'm talking about, this is one of the former Carleton United breweries producing Victoria Bitter, in Richmond, Victoria.
Shown here is the two massive barley silos and the associated malt works where the barley is germinated and roasted.
