BBSing, Artscene & Demoscene

A group dedicated to both the resurgence of the 21st Century BBS Scene, the traditional BBS Scene, as well as the Artscene & Demoscene. Whether you're an old schooler or a new schooler, you're welcome here! This group was created as a place free of algorithmic tampering, 30 day gulag jails for wrong think, and everything else wrong with main stream social media. However, if you're looking for the Scene on main stream social media, these links can help: BBSing v2.0 on FascistBook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/bbsing2.0/ BBSing v3.0 on FascistBook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/bbsing3.0/ BBSing on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/bbs/ MUDs on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/MUD/ ALT-TECH Social Media BBSing Pages: BBSing on deviantART: https://www.deviantart.com/bbsing/gallery/ BBSing, Artscene & Demoscene on Minds: https://www.minds.com/groups/profile/1368147492582985745/feed BBSing, Artscene & Demoscene on Gab: https://gab.com/groups/64606 BBSing, Artscene & Demoscene on Roxycast: pending While there are many unsupported BBS Softwares that will still run just fine with a little retrofitting, our list is going to focus on CURRENTLY SUPPORTED BBS SOFTWARES that have support from authors, the community or both. Many are open sourced. Some are commercial. Many will likely be able to run on a Raspberry PI and / or Docker, however we will be focusing on the ones which run on DOS, WINDOWS, LINUX, UNIX, C64 / C128 and AMIGA. Some DOS BBS Softwares might be able to run on OS/2 & OS/2-compatible Operating Systems. We were going to have a bunch of useful links below, but for reasons unknown, Minds shortened the amount of space available in the group description, which wiped out most of what we had here originally. So, we'll be adding those links as pinned posts. You will see those first before you see newly posted content.
