All very convenient that this controversial event should suddenly find itself under attack in stereotypical fashion and the evidence removed with miraculous speed.
When they want to protect something controversial they ALWAYS give it victim status. Because once they're seen as victims they can tell the public:
"It would be cruel and heartless to question them which will make them suffer further."
Effectively allowing them to continue to abuse the vulnerable and get away with it.
