A neverending tactic used by leftists/commies is to assume that everything more than 10 years in the past was a Dark Age of unmitigated horror and that the Current Year is a battleground between more of that, and the Glorious Future promised by leftism. Which is why the Trans Extemism Cult never mentions that a trans woman in 1950's America not only didn't get hate-crimed, but was a celebrity.
