For another case of truly nauseating presentism, I saw the trailer for latest direct-to-streaming movie set during WWII. "Blitz" had the potential to be good, as it stars Saoirse Ronan with a period-appropriate hairstyle and it's set in my favorite era. But of course they had to go and ruin it by casting a half-black kid to play an orphaned boy, as if London in 1940 had the same demographics then as it did by the 1980s. Even New York back then wasn't that diverse, for fuck's sake!
