This is for the contest to make a Battle Games Team. This is the information contestants can reference to make their entries.

Positions

There are three main positions.

Heavy- This class is restricted to Heavy or Super Heavy armor. They can use any slashing weapon, polearm, or club aside from short swords, short spears, and daggers. Super Heavy armor often uses an exo-suit.

Slash- Slash can use armor up to medium heavy grade and any exo-suit. They are free to use any melee weapon they want and can be broken up into several subclasses (i.e. axe, polearm, club). Slash subgroups can be multi classed with the Heavy class but the result will be a Heavy.

Quick- Can use light armor or no armor. Only class allowed to use sprinters (mechanical devices worn on the legs to make a player faster, more agile, or both. Restricted to short swords, and daggers.

Equipment

All armor is made of plastic, ceramic, and/or metal mesh composites. The thickness of the armor determines the position that can use it. All positions are allowed the use of exo-suits but they must meet the armor requirements of their position. All exo-suits must be low profile and not interfere with the thickness of the armor. Weapons must be designed to stun using denatured electrical charge technology and can not hold a true edge or stabbing point. There are no restrictions on color, style, display, or any cosmetic aspect to the equipment subject to commission approval in cases of extremely offensive pieces (nudity, anything illegal, etc).

Every team is required to have at minimum one Quick and one Heavy.

Games

Each game consists of three events with a two out of three rule. Courses can vary by location, and more wildly in other countries. The full Battle Games season starts in March, Play-offs start in late June early July, and the championship is often the first week of August. Most teams will play at least one game a weak.

Elimination- Elimination is not in standard game rotation but is called for by the captains. The rules for the game are set by the Captains of the teams playing. Most commonly this would be a one-on-one fight, but more outlandish rules and conditions can be applied so long as the captains agree. Elimination can be called at any time but can only be initiated by an agreement among captains. Etiquette dictates that the challenged captain set the rules but this is not official policy. Elimination is always the final event whenever played.

Blind- Blind is played by a number of players set at the time of the games choosing and can be anything between 2v2 and 5v5. Players compete to eliminate opposing teams while being temporarily blind, deafened, and numbed. Stadium equipment to achieve sensory deprivation must be on list of acceptable uses and tested often to avoid injury.

Maze- Maze is a checkpoint capture game. To win a team must capture three podiums or eliminate the opponents. Maze is eligible to be an exclusion event where players eliminated in the event may not be allowed to participate in other events that game. Maze can be subject to regional changes and it is encouraged by the commission.

Breakout- Breakout is played by a number of players set at the time of games choosing and can be anything between 2v2 and 5v5. Player compete to eliminate opposing teams while the platform they fight on is continually eroded. A warning system of drops must be in place and the timing can no be below two second or above ten.

Boulder-Boulder requires at least one Heavy from each team. A powered ball around two meters in diameter is used to score a single winning point. Heavies are the only players who are capable of moving the ball. It is permissible and encouraged for the ball to be used offensively. The ball may also wander of its own accord if left alone. If both teams have their Heavies eliminated the game starts over. If there is no available Heavy to start the game over it is labeled a draw.

Dogskull- Dogskull requires at least on Quick from each team. One Quick on each team is given a ball. A quick is the only class of player who can touch the ball without getting shocked. The purpose of the game is to score three points by throwing the ball through the opponent’s goal. The ground is slanted and the balls are considered in play so long as they are not being held by a Quick who has been knocked off the playing surface. If a Quick loses their ball a new one will be fired to them. If both Quicks lose their balls before new ones can be launched, all ball cannons on the surface will fire at random, this is called multi-ball. If a team is ahead an eliminates all the opposing team’s Quicks, they win.

Crossroads- Crossroads is played on three pathways that intersect in the center. In the center is a podium, that when activated will change the obstacles on the course. Each team may send in any number of players, but any players eliminated in this game are excluded from play for the rest of the game. To win one team must eliminate all opponents in the event.

Bridges- Bridges is played on a course made of interwoven bridges. There is no set construction, and arenas may vary so long as they hold to the guidelines set forth by the Battle Games commission. The game can be played with any number of players and can be exclusion.

Gates- Gates is played on a battlefield made of several square rooms divided by gateways that will close a predetermined amount of time after a player has crossed the threshold. If a player is caught in a room where all four gates are closed, they will be eliminated. If a player is cut off from all other players, he is considered odd man out and is eliminated. To win one team must eliminate all opposing players. Exclusion can apply. This game can be drawn.

Hunt- One player called prey is chosen at random from one team, then three hunters from the opposing team. The prey player must activate three podiums in the maze the game takes place in, eliminate all enemy players, or outlast the time limit to win. If they prey fails a new prey is picked from the hunters' side, and three hunters are picked from the former prey side. This event can be drawn.
