"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it." - Joseph Goebbels
Due to recent barrage of propaganda being spread on Twitter/X by all sorts of nobody accounts and TikTok videos, I think it's time for an article like this.
China's influence has been a hot topic in politics for quite some time now. We're seeing it everywhere. In social media, in politics, in Hollywood, and even in video games, as the CCP-owned Tencent is buying up shares in notable game studios in both the U.S. and Japan. Nobody does propaganda quite like the Chinese Communist Party.
China has emerged as a massive threat to it's neighbors, the United States, Japan, and Europe. The CCP bombards us with disinformation meant to defame the U.S. and Japan and "evil" and China as "good." The CCP keeps trying to paint themselves in a positive light to the rest of the world in order to try and make everyone forget about their crimes against humanity.
Hollywood film makers are afraid to offend the CCP, and recent examples show it. For example, the remake of Red Dawn had the villains changed from the Chinese to the North Koreans out of fear for offending Chinese audiences.
But we're not here to talk about America. We're here to talk about the country that is considered Public Enemy #1 to China - Japan.
It's not really a secret that China hates Japan. It's been the case for centuries. But the hatred really amplified after the end of World War II. Much of it has to do with the brutal occupation of China by the Imperial Japanese Army during the Second Sino-Japanese War and World War II, which resulted in the deaths of over 20 million Chinese. As well as the most infamous incident of that theater of the war, the Rape of Nanking, which saw somewhere between 40,000-300,000 deaths and about 20,000 Chinese women raped by IJA troops.
Anti-Japanese agitprop is such a big thing in China's film and TV sectors, that in 2013, 30% of Chinese primetime TV consists of movies and TV shows showing Japanese soldiers being brutally slaughtered. Japanese foreign policy experts reported in 2012 that at least 200 anti-Japanese films are produced every year. I wouldn't be surprised if those numbers are just as, if not greater today than they were back then.
The Japan hatred continues in China, even in spite of the fact that the CCP under Mao Zedong has killed FAR more innocent Chinese than the Japanese ever did, and still continues to do so today.
However, that's just one piece of the puzzle. This isn't even the worst of it.
Since the Tienanmen Square massacre in 1989, China has spent massive amounts of money to negatively influence Western opinion on Japan, and portray China in a positive light. This includes the Confucius Institutes - which are present in virtually every university in the country, as well as in Hollywood:
China's information war against Japan consists of what it calls "strategems" to build and maintain information superiority. It is all part of China's concept called "Unrestricted Warfare", which they are using against both Japan and the United States:
China has also carried out it's information warfare against Japan inside the Japanese homeland itself as well. I previously mentioned the Confucius Institutes which are present all over America. Well, what if I told you that they were also present in Japan as well? Yes, it was reported in 2016 that there are currently 14 Confucius Institutes present in Japanese universities. The purpose of the Confucius Institutes in Japan are "to create personal relationships between Chinese people and their counterparts in receiving countries to build trust and grow a 'cadre of willing interpreters and receivers' that adopt China's norms and values in the political sphere."
And there's also the fact that China spends lots of money on social media to target Japan, as part of it's concept called "Cognitive Warfare". China uses Cognitive Warfare as a way to "capture the minds" of the populace of it's foes, and shape their thoughts, perceptions, as well as challenge their worldviews. The CCP puts Cognitive Warfare on par with it's other domains of war like air, sea, ground, and space, and sees it as it's way to victory without war.
The CCP's four main social media tactics, called "Confrontational Actions" are:
All of these tactics are being used by the CCP on all the social media sites, especially Twitter/X. Thankfully, they are all easy to catch onto as long as you know the signs.
Here are some rather easy examples. This one is from an 900 follower account:
A 900 follower burner account getting over 300,000 likes and over 15 million views on a single tweet? Yeah, not buying it.
This is a textbook example of the Public Opinion Blackout tactic. These likes and retweets are obviously from bots helping make the narrative that the CCP wants viral, and having alternative news and views about this topic on Japanese society stamped out.
And for good measure he also mentions Nanking. Yeah, you're not fooling anyone here, China. Stop throwing money around.
And here's another from a known Twitter Communist:
Of course, anyone with "Communist" in their bio is likely to be a CCP sympathizer. He got over 200,000 likes on this tweet, but this guy usually only gets about a few hundred likes on each tweet. Yeah...obvious bot manipulation by the CCP. I wouldn't be surprised if China is using leftist and Communist sympathizers on Twitter to help get the narrative they want to be viral.
You don't have to take my word for it! The CCP has done this before during the early days of the COVID pandemic in 2020. Twitter shut down almost 24,000 primary accounts and 150,000 booster accounts which were being used by the CCP to spread disinformation:
This is not new, and since Musk purchased Twitter, it has only gotten worse.
Though anti-Japanese sentiment on Twitter, I think, reached it's peak in 2022 when former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was assassinated. Here are some tweets from some accounts which are sympathetic to China:
This is an obvious CCP shill account and known Wumao troll. If you want to know more about Wumaos and what they do, click here.
Here we have another leftist shill from the mainstream media who makes the ridiculous claim that Abe "denied" Japan's World War II crimes. Have I mentioned that the media was kinder to Communist dictators like Fidel Castro than Abe after death?
This one is an obvious Wumao. See what I mean?
And don't even get me started on TikTok. You should have seen how rife TikTok was with anti-Shinzo Abe stuff when the former prime minister was assassinated in 2022:
And of course the anti-Japanese propaganda being spread through TikTok continues today:
And that's not all. Thanks to the rising popularity of TikTok, China has far greater power to shape narratives and block out anti-Chinese narratives than they have ever had. Also, ever since Elon Musk purchased twitter, the amount of disinformation spread by not just China, but also Russia and Iran, have risen by SEVENTY PERCENT:
Some of this may be due to the fact of Musk's financial dependence on the Chinese market for his electric car company, Tesla. But that's a whole other can of worms.
Next, let's talk about Amazon's The Man in the High Castle.
Why am I bringing this up? Because the TV show is quite different from the book. The Man in the High Castle is based off the 1962 novel of the same name, and it takes place in an alternate reality in which the Axis Powers won World War II and subjugated the United States, with Nazi Germany controlling the eastern half of America, and the Japanese controlling the Western half of America. However, as mentioned before, the TV show differs from the book in a big way, especially in how it portrays the Japanese, possibly to please Chinese buyers in Amazon's business ventures in China, as mentioned by Michael Yon of Breitbart. Yon stated that creators of the show made the Japanese soldiers into jack-booted thugs on the streets of San Francisco. Yon also mentions that "the book’s clear contrast, especially with regard to how the Japanese treated Jews, is ignored. Indeed, Spotnitz creates additional Jewish characters entirely to cast the Japanese as anti-Semitic by bringing up race laws, and having the Japanese kill them with Zyklon B gas, Nazi style. This is a gratuitous slap at the Japanese, who in real life saved tens of thousands of Jews in face of Nazi pressure and threats."
I disagree with a ton of Yon's views, as he leans towards the far-right Japanese nationalist side, but he's right on this one. Japanese individuals and organizations went against the tide and risked their own lives to save thousands of Jews from the Nazis during World War II, despite Japan being part of the Axis Powers. Diplomat Chiune Sugihara, Setsuzo Kotsuji (a Japanese scholar of Hebrew culture), and Koreshige Inuzuka of the Imperial Japanese Navy, all rescued Jews and helped them settle in Japan, and all three were commended by the United States and Israel for their efforts. This is yet another example of China's efforts to try and demonize Japan.
Lastly, let's talk about China's growing influence in the video game industry.
Razorfist has mentioned China's growing influence in the video game industry in this China: Exporter of ESG video, and he also mentioned how the CCP-run corporation Tencent has purchased sizable shares in Japanese and Western video game development studios:
Seeing this list should absolutely frighten you. However, some on our side don't appear to have gotten the message:
Recently, since the announcement of Stellar Blade for the PS5 in 2022, there have been a lot of weebs and gooner gamers on Twitter (some of whom are my followers) who have been praising China and Korea for the amount of fanservice they've been putting in their games. However, they are unaware of the fact that China funds the DEI and ESG that has infected Western and Japanese video game studios, while they are censoring the fanservice in China itself, as China has a total ban on porn and any sexually explicit content. This is part of China's "Unrestricted Warfare" against the West and Japan, as China seeks to weaken Japan's cultural influence and eventually have their state run companies buy up shares in Japanese studios until they have majority control.
And yes fellow weebs, South Korea is not immune to this either.
I know a ton of you fellow weebs were all jerking off to Stellar Blade when it came out earlier this year, however, what if I told you that it's development was also funded by China?
Yes, Stellar Blade's developer, Shift Up, is partially owned by Tencent. In 2022, Tencent purchased a 20% stake in Shift Up.
And of course, a lot of you have been promoting the Korean made First Descendant because of the amount of fanservice it has, but what if I told you that it's developer, Nexon, is also partnered with Tencent? Yes, Nexon developed a mobile RPG called Dungeon & Fighter Mobile, which is China's most downloaded game over it's first 30 days on the market:
Even worse, Tencent is now considering buying Nexon outright. I'm surprised that little detail hasn't rung any alarm bells among the gaming community. That should be frightening news to all gamers, but I am absolutely terrified over the fact that nobody has mentioned it.
Also, in case you need a reminder of South Korea's vassal-overlord relationship with the CCP, have a good look at these:
I've warned you all about South Korea's heel turn for years, and nobody seems to take me seriously yet. Hopefully most people wake up before it's too late.
Lewd content generally, and pornography explicitly - is regulated and outright banned in both South Korea and China. Yet their game studios are more than happy to export lewd fanservice to the West and Japan in hopes of undermining their competition. Especially Japan, as both South Korea and China are very sensitive to Japan changing or eliminating their post World War II-era laws. Both South Korea and China hate Japan with a passion, and both have a common interest in seeing Japan's cultural influence weakened.
To conclude this rant, whenever I point out China's influence in anti-Japanese disinformation on social media, I get accused of being a crazy conspiracy theorist, get criticized for "bootlicking" Japan, or criticized for believing in the "wrong" conspiracy theory. Which is why I thought I would do this article, to show you all that it really IS China, and not "DA JOOZ" as Nick Fuentes' Groyper troll army would like you to believe.
China is an enemy of this country, and Japan's biggest enemy. Where else would all this anti-Japan propaganda be coming from? And don't say "DA JOOZ", because that's a lazy cop out and incorrect.
The CCP's disinformation war MUST be stopped, and with Trump returning to the White House this coming January, hopefully he clamps down on China in a big way. Ever since Richard Nixon's visit to China in 1972, our leaders have made more and more concessions, eventually giving the CCP a death grip on our economy. Trump was the first president in forever to push back against China, but Biden undid all of his progress in one term. Hopefully Trump works with Japanese leadership to put a stop to China's Unrestricted Warfare once and for all.
