The words Judeo-Christian are most often used to describe the biblically based religious, moral, and ethical heritage of certain western societies. But there is a more complete definition of Judeo-Christianity: "a belief system and lifestyle founded upon the principle of Sola Scriptura (by scripture/Bible alone). The Bible, in its entirety, is a complete and divinely inspired compilation of books written for revelation, instruction, and reproof. God has a plan that has been consistent through history. This consistency is reflected in scriptures through God’s laws/teaching, the writings, the prophets, the gospels and epistles penned by faithful scribes. God's plan is revealed through explicit command and through stories about God's people. The personal and national examples of the faithful — Abel to Christ and his apostles — inform our understanding of God's purpose and His work in the world. The Bible is a comprehensive life-map to both a good physical life and the only path to eternal life through Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Rock of our salvation, the Word, the Lamb of God. Judeo-Christianity emerged into the English-speaking world during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I of Great Britain in the late 1500s, as part of the non-conformist Reformation movement. This specific reformation realized that both the Old and New Covenant Scriptures were authoritative and superseded any decisions by councils of men (Matthew 4:4; John 17:17; Matthew 15:3-9). However, this current revival of the "faith once delivered to the saints" in this century traces its beginning to what is sometimes called "primitive Christianity" — the original ‘Church’ that Christ founded and the apostles who continued in that faith. So this is a channel to explore the truth of the Judeo Christian scriptures, from the perspective of the faith embraced by the early Christians. #bible #biblestudy #scripture #restorationist #judeochristian #scripturalist People often wonder why we call ourselves, Judeo Christian. Well, we are not "traditional Christians" Catholics or evangelicals or charismatic Christians, nor are we Messianic Jews. We are people who were once part of mainstream Christianity, who came to accept the principle of Sola Scriptura, who reject the idea of "dispensationalism" as being without basis in scripture, and view the Hebrew and Greek scriptures as a unified whole. The scriptures alone offer us a hope of salvation through an everlasting covenant relationship with God the Father through the sacrifice of our Saviour. But this everlasting covenant does not nullify the national covenant that the Lord God of Israel made with his people. So if you are someone who wants to "label" ideas and people, then Judeo Christian is perhaps fitting, as it speaks to our love of God's word in its entirety.

Hey Everyone!!! Little about me and how I came to Minds. I'm an ICU nurse who questions the legitimacy of some practices including vaccinations, nutrition, and the COVID19 response. After using Facebook for years, increasing censorship on these topics has driven me to look for alternatives where I can share my perspective without fear of being shut out of the conversation. Update: Currently, my family and I are in the process of trying to become more self-sufficient. This has always been a dream of ours, but in light recent circumstances we decided to reprioritize when we would like to pursue these goals. We're sick of the leverage that's held over us by being so reliant on society for surival. Our goal is to purchase a large plot of land and learn to be as independent as possible. We plan to do this without acquiring any debt. I share and remind topics and articles I find interesting. I may not agree with all points of the articles or videos that I share, but nevertheless see it as worth discussing. I believe in the Constitution of the United States and our Bill of Rights. I believe in the freedom of and for the individual. I believe in the absolute right of the individual to protect their lives, the lives of their kin and property. I believe in our God-given (whether you believe or not) human rights for all. I do not believe in extra or special rights or protections for anyone. This always leads to problems or a form of subjugation for those outside this special or "protected" class. I am for everyone being free to pursue their own livelihoods without other people or governments stepping in. The only legitimate purpose of a valid government is to keep the shared interests of its citizens maintained and to protect our rights, property and freedoms. The government should NEVER be used to try to force views or thoughts onto its citizens, nor to silence them. I am usually polite and often enjoy a discussion with others, regardless of whether or not I may agree with you on everything. As long as what you are fighting for does not impede my freedoms, I may even change my mind from time to time. Being offended is a neutral state for everyone except the person who is offended. If you are offended, you can learn to accept it, choose to ignore it, find a different path or reaction, or work to improve the factors involved; you may not change others to try to make them fit your perception of the correct way to do life. For your sake, if you are easily offended or can't live with the idea that others disagree with you, Grow Up. That is all.
