With his passion for conservation and love for nature, He then became an advocate of conservation, environmental human rights, and land rights and worked as a conservationist thereafter with over 12 years of experience in Sri Lanka and South East Asia working on various areas such as Climate Change, Environmental policy planning, Conservation strategy planning, Ecosystem restoration, and Sustainable development. He was also awarded a climate champion by Climate Group,WWF, Earthwatch, and Smithsonian tropical institute and was a part of a 5-year research program in Borneo that was supported by the Royal Society of UK.
