First and foremost, I am a humanitarian. I have faith in people, not in mythology. I attempt to be open minded and to respect all people, even if I cannot respect their beliefs. I will not allow another person's behavior decide my own behavior. My decisions are thus my own not those I owe to an aggressor. This also means that my mistakes and short comings are my own as well.
I am an atheist though I believe that every person has an unalienable right to believe as they choose. Even when I do not agree with what they believe in.
In the very finite amount of time humans are allotted I can only hope to be a little less ignorant than I was the day before. I understand that the entirety of my knowledge is trivial and do not profess to be significant or greater in anyway than any other person. The only person I will ever be greater than is the person I was yesterday. Despite the given limitations learning is still and always will be the greatest passion of my life.
I am also an activist for humanitarian causes and a "bleeding heart, altruistic liberal".
I am me, and it is my fondest hope that you can and will be you.
