We avoid the tinfoil hats and poorly crafted sci-fi stories that litter the internet, to bring you conspiracies that you have heard about and more that you haven’t. We are gleaning information from a seemingly insurmountable wall of waffle and running our common sense detector over some of the misinformation that lies in the stagnant swamp of the web. We are now but two humble Irishmen with a propensity for critical thinking and common sense, and a host of friends with the same mindset, but we all have a third eye squinted open for the strangeness of truth and are all tireless in the never ending quest for the opportunity to have the craic. Have you ever watched the news and thought ‘that doesn’t look right?’. Have you ever questioned main stream media or questioned what ‘main stream’ even means? Have you ever agonised over the official version of events that seemed like they were the script of a bad movie? Then this is the podcast for you. We analyse easily available material and cast a critical eye over it; discussing the validity of its sources and its credibility as fact. Bio’s are not easy for me to write: I can write about anything under the sun but myself. Trying to convey my passion in words has never been easy, it often comes across as blunt, cold and a bit boring, but here I go. My true passion is education, more the process of learning, not the system we currently have in place. I love watching children’s or even adult’s eyes light up when they are interested in something and what to know more about it. I love watching people’s eyes glow with satisfaction when they understand a topic, it is the most incredible thing to be apart of and witness. I have been in the education system for about 20 years, and I feel that curiosity and imagination are being snuffed out of students in the public education system in the United States. I wanted to be a teacher, but I realized that the system in too bureaucratic. I want students to thrive, explore their opinions and be given information with nuance and no political agenda being pushed. I want civil discussion and everyone being held accountable for their own actions. I decided it was time for me to join the rest of the people speaking out against the insane political correctness, identity politics and the anti science atmosphere going on currently. So I came up with LogicalRhetoric and Trivium to be my alter ego. I first had the idea of talking exclusively about education, because I have spent too much time in a system I believe does not work and I have two degrees, no job and a massive amount of debt. Education is the first topic I really want to tackle; Reform in the United States is needed to help students become better leaders, employers, employees and citizens. The skills needed to function in this ever changing world are not being taught to students. I also plan on talking about whatever else catches my fancy and topics that viewers, followers or others bring up.
