BREAK OUT THE CRAZY Chris Hierro and Katya Diaz have combined forces to create what can only be described as a kaleidoscope of sounds and vibes; hence the name Break Out The Crazy. They recently collaborated with one of Trinidad’s most popular Soca groups Kes The Band on 2016’s carnival favorite “Body Talk”. They also wrote Jonael Santiago’s (Universal Music Group) first single “Sonríe La Vida” after he won La Voz Kids (Telemundo). Break Out The Crazy writes everything from Country/Pop to Urban, EDM and lots in-between. Seeking to create and infuse pop music with good stories and thoughtful cross genre production they hope to offer their unique perspective as their best asset. KATYA DIAZ has toured Europe, America and Mexico singing background and/or dancing for numerous artists including Passion Pit, Thalia, Alejandro Sanz and Beyoncé. As a vocalist for Snarky Puppy’s Family Dinner DVD she had the honor of singing backgrounds for Lalah Hathaway’s Grammy winning live performance of “Something”. Officially songwriting for only 4 years now Katya wrote the national commercial for JC Penny’s 2015 spring campaign and collaborated with acclaimed writers such as Itaal Shur and Stuart Matthewman. CHRIS HIERRO has been writing and producing Latin music from an early age and has worked with many popular artists including Leslie Grace, Eli Jas and Prince Royce. He has also performed and toured as a keyboardist and background vocalist for some of Latin music’s most legendary stars such as Jerry Rivera, Obie Bermúdez and multi Grammy Award winner Alejandro Sanz. Chris Hierro reached the #1 position of the Billboard Tropical Airplay charts writing & producing the hit “We never Looking Back” for bachata artist Toby Love featuring French Montana. Aside from his work in Latin music, Chris also scored the Indie critically acclaimed Action/Comedy film “Full Circle” (E One Entertainment) and continues to work closely with director Solvan “Slick” Naim on his upcoming film and TV projects.
