Interwoven Permaculture Farm is a dynamic ecosystem, flourishing in restorative agriculture, with a bent toward “beyond sustainable, beyond organic” education. Bordering Lusk Creek Wilderness in the Shawnee National forest of Southeastern Illinois, we strive to blend human needs with the natural world, to create a symbiotic cooperation with the land, water, and elements of the wild, to ensure a harmonious human establishment, using both ancient ways and new technologies, in our endeavor to create a more just and sustainable future for both people and planet. We believe that permaculture and restorative agriculture, along with sustainable living and restorative technologies, can heal what has been broken in the natural world. Interwoven offers internships, classes, workshops and events based around permaculture, earth skills, rehabilitating damaged landscapes, increasing soil quality, and building farm-based businesses. The model we are creating at Interwoven is designed to be replicated, and, as we grow and learn, we look forward to sharing the design and implementation with willing minds. We intend to provide a source of healthy permaculture grown foods, educational services, and interactive experiences.
Permaculture is a way of seeing the world through nature's eyes using the patterns and systems of nature to solve problems and thrive ethically and abundantly.

On this channel I'm dragon@authorpendragon, mindsblogging the news since 2016. On @GailMcGowanMellor, under my own name, I'm writing an unauthorized history of Minds as it unfolds.
An investigative reporter with a Pulitzer'nomination (rare for an independent), a medical writer (who founded a cooperative medical writing company with clients on three continents), and teacher (I taught in high school and college and was an early coordinator in the un-schooling movement), I've been a political activist since the early 1960s, because "inactive citizen" is an oxymoron. Channel Policy: Doxxers and spammers -- including thread hijackers endlessly bleating about unrelated pet projects or hatreds -- are at minimum boring. Bug out. All others: thank you so much for being here. Documented disagreement is terrific. So are discoveries. So is laughter....
