Malu Ribeiro (Eslabon Art Gallery Founder & Director - Art-maker - Writer) was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, daughter to anti-dictatorship leftwing revolutionaries, but began her life as an immigrant & citizen of the world before she was even 2 yrs.o., due to her dad's career in science and Big Pharma. Malu lived in 9 different countries, and speaks 4 languages fluently. She began her formal studies in Art/Art History when she was 16 in Spain, and graduated with a BFA in Theater at URI, US, in Dec.1990. After living in Paris for 3 yrs., she returned to the US and graduated from an MFA in Print-making in 1998, at Pratt Institute. She was an art college/ high school instructor. She also later studied Art History at SBU, didn't finish the thesis (2015-17). She has exhibited extensively internationally and her artwork is in numerous private collections. Malu wrote her whole life, mostly biographical-fiction, thoughts on art, history & politics, and her activism, though it began early, accentuated after 911, a false flag event of which she's a survivor, having witnessed what transpired that day during her 8th month of pregnancy of her 2nd child. Malu moved to Portugal in 2018, splitting her time between NYC & Porto, and runs a group page for immigrants & portuguese in PT, and also a coronavirus truth page on Minds.
