The Christian Life

This group is created for those who came to Minds because they wanted an entirely different experience; especially Christians who want to remain connected to their friends, family, and communities so that they may be encouraged and inspired to do what we, as Christians, are called to do. I appreciate those who, through practicing Christian virtues, remind me of the things that really matter, like my Christian faith, family, and community. I want to connect with you and with other Christians who focus on, and practice, those things that are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent, or worthy of praise. Furthermore, I want all of us to connect with each other so that we may encourage and build each other up. I firmly believe that if we promote Christian values through what we do and then share, society (and dare I say, politics) will follow. Let us serve as examples to each other, and remind each other of what really matters. Only God deserves the glory, and this starts with appreciating the things that God ordained to bring himself glory, such as the Church, family, and community. What do I want to see? I want to see pictures and hear stories of you or someone else doing something that glorifies God. This can be anything from serving at a church event to something as simple as spending time with your family or playing with your kids. We may not know each other, but we can recognize and appreciate the natural goodness of these acts. So much of what is shared gives glory to those who deserve neither attention nor glory. I am convinced that everything we share on social media, especially content within this group, should reflect our relationship with Jesus Christ. Therefore, we should focus on things, practice things, and only then share things that conform to what is laid out for us throughout the scriptures. Philippians 4, Hebrews 3, and James 1 are especially relevant and helpful. What we post on social media should reflect our relationship with Christ and the actions and beliefs that
