Wyrd, meaning fate or destiny, comes from the old Norse urðr. It was a concept in Anglo-Saxon beliefs, and key in Beowulf and the Poetic Edda (culminating in Ragnarok). The concept also appears later in Shakespeare’s Macbeth with the wyrd sisters.
The Baobhan Sith is a #vampire fairy of the Scottish highlands. She appears as a beautiful woman in a long green dress (the faery colour) that hides her hooves. She attacks & drains the blood of yearning male hunters & shapeshifts into a wolf to stalk her prey. #FairyTale
