This picture is from an underwater “museum” off the coast of Grenada, honoring the lives of African people who were thrown overboard during the “Middle Passage.” The Slaver-ship’s Captain did this if sickness began to spread among them, or if provisions ran low. Profits were the primary goal, not human life. I know most people whom we call “slaves” during the New-World-Slave Trade, were sold to European’s by rival tribal lords. I also know there was a “hidden power” behind the wheels of the slave trade who owned, and they still own to this day, the banks that financed the ships used to transport human cargo. They also financed the factories that produced the chains, shackles, and provisions for the triangular journey which began around the year 1500. My intention here is not to necessarily debate how whites, especially Irish people, were used as slaves also, or how blacks owned slaves in the southern states. My intention is to spark debate on how ALL LIVES MATTER, and how movements like BLM are skewed and promoted by wealthy, hateful, trillionaires as they breed hatred and division, in order to “divide and conquer” our nation, and, indeed, the world at large! Please bear in mind, regarding early immigration to the New World, Africans were the only group who was forced to come here against their will. I know there were Irish people also, but I don’t think it was numerically equal with African people. According to Historian Marcus Rediker, out of around 14 Million souls who were captured in the interior of the continent, only around 9 Million reached the New World, primarily landing in Brazil. That means 5 Million perished, either on the arduous trip to the western coast from their inland locations, due to exposure, brutality, and starvation, or on the trip over, living in incredibly awful conditions, before reaching the New World, etc etc….Any comments in the spirit of debate and thought are definitely welcomed!
