Incredible album for its time. Replete with dark ambient soundscapes, 'Ambient Works Vol 1' boasts a stellar array of electronic fandangling before electronic was fandangling became cool. Dark static funk and defibrillating electronicity drive this early gem of proto-techno plastic. Not every track is to everyones taste, mind you. #Jazz is Teacher from #JuanAtkins , another luminary of the #Detroit #Techno #Music scene This is 10 minutes of fiddly beat and time-tinkering. The earliest times of hearing this I had it classed as 'Adult Techno' Techno for chin-strokers. It is actually a quiet, introverted, possibly autistic masterwork of the techno genre. I've heard it used to great effect on various special dancefloors. Love it!
