As basic economics comes into play, the yuan actually becomes more desirable. All of a sudden, there’s 10 times the amount of yuan there was just a few years ago, and it’s 1000% more valuable. All they have to do is call our debt or liquidate their holdings in US assets. They can sell us down to oblivion. Sure, they will hurt themselves, but they’re communists. They can apply force to their own.
