π 8. History and Geography are two of my weak points. I only took two history classes in high school and I never took a geography class. But one of the absolute BEST things about studying at home is that we get the opportunity to learn (and re-learn) right alongside our children. From atlases to hands-on-sticker dressing sets from other countries around the world, lift-the-flap history books, encyclopedias, and timelines. We have it all! Iβm a visual person, so I LOVED this video and how you can see inside some of the wonderful books Usborne provides to its customers. If you are learning about it, I guarantee we have a book that covers the subject! https://youtu.be/q-Wq1qJnxPE (The video is a bit long, but if you are in need of history or geography resources, it will help you see what is inside each unique book!) Our current favorite history book is the Encyclopedia of World History! π So many great illustrations packed with tons of facts! My oldest is gobbling it up in his free time! π ****** What are your kids learning in history right now? Do you try to do βfamily learningβ where everyone learns the same things together? Or does each child do their own lesson? (Check the comments for 2 more graphics.)
