💻 2. We all know the importance of teaching our children to read. It is said that readers are leaders, and all leaders are readers. This little saying is absolutely true. Looking into the future, though, it won’t be enough for our children to be readers of the written word. (Stick with me, I promise I haven't lost it completely. 😉) Coding is the way of the future. In fact, coding is, by definition, basic literacy in the digital age. It is extremely important for kids to understand and work with the technology surrounding them. Here are 5 reasons why coding is important for children of all ages: 1. Coding is another language. 2. Coding fosters creativity. 3. Coding helps with math skills. 4. Coding helps kids understand how to plan and organize thoughts. 5. Coding helps the learner become a confident problem solver. 👌 The good news it doesn’t have to be complicated!
