Seven people have been arrested and dozens fined after a "Freedom Day" anti-mask protest rally in the Melbourne CBD on Victoria's deadliest day of the pandemic so far. Victoria Police confirmed the arrests in a statement, saying 27 fines had been issued for breaches of Victorian Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton's public order for people to stay home as a result of the coronavirus crisis. Most of those fined wore face coverings, despite the core claim of the protest.
