Chestnuts and girolles out on a woodland walk today. What a bonus the shrooms are! My intention with the chestnuts is to bake them hard and dry, store them peeled but whole and grind them for flour to make a bread with 60% wheat and 40% chestnut flour. I have a Mockmill to use for the grinding.
