Consciousness is the mystery at the heart of the cosmos. It's probably pervasive in the universe driving the whole process. Panpsychism, the philosophy that consciousness is fundamental, might be the elephant in the room. It's a compatible with both religion and atheism. It's agnostic yet spiritual.
