I don't have a specific book in mind (outside the BSA Handbook and military manuals), but survival and hobby books in general are things everyone should read. Learning the basics of things like how to read maps, wood working / construction, how to make a survival shelter and find edible plants, basic medicine, gardening and so on a very useful skills. Even if it's not the sort of things you are great at remembering having the physical books can be very useful.
