MINDS User Guide for the Browser: Posting

You can post whatever is on your mind including images and links to other pages. Your posts are either added to your channel (if you post from the Home page or your channel) or to the group which you are a member (if you post to the group.)

Facebook and Twitter

I don't know what these are for since I no longer have a Facebook or Twitter account. That's probably why it is grayed out. If someone knows how to use this, let me know and I'll update this documentation.

Attaching an Image or Video

Use the "Clip" icon to attach an image to your post. A dialog box allowing you to select the image from your computer will be displayed.

I've attached JPG and GIF images as well as MP4 video to my posts. I don't know what other formats are supported.

External Links

Insert the URL in your post. Make sure to leave a space before and after the URL.

Rating

Rate your post to be viewable by everyone (default) or for mature audience only. Click on the "E" to toggle.

Hashtags

It is important to include hashtags in your posts if you want them to be found by others.

Post

Don't forget to click on "Post" - otehrwise, you just wasted your time creating a lovely post which will not get posted.
