During the past wonderful year, in numerous articles, I've read that Lisa Page was (is?) Peter Strzok's mistress.

Humans use, rely on words to communicate ideas, to convey information.

Troubled humans use words to get what they want; and toward that end regularly use words to deceive, to distract, to confuse, …

I'm one who cares about words. The nefarious misuse of language is troublesome. Much of the violence in the world no doubt stems from such deceit.

Strzok's treason alone is justification enough for him to literally hang in the public square.

But what I find objectionable is the continuous effort by so many to purposely deceive people by misusing language.

Much of this misuse is originated or amplified by the legacy media, the big-money, corporate propaganda ever present now for many decades, but only recently (and thankfully increasingly) exposed by citizen journalists.

Certainly one of the many meanings of “mistress” is the adulterous female partner of an adulterer. But it is only a minor definition of the word mistress.

While mistress is an inadequate, deceptive definition for a female adulterer, I spent ten minutes in vain looking for a word to describe a male adulterer.

I also don't really like the word adulterer. It implies to non-adults (children) that adultery is just fine (once you become an adult).

It isn't just fine. People who engage in such behavior are broken humans. Adultery is more than just immoral behavior. It, like other variations of promiscuity, has serious real-world consequences that can extend beyond those engaging in the immoral behavior (like spreading STDs, e.g.).

For now, I'll use co-adulterer to describe damaged humans like Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.
