New paper out today describes a 1,000 year old ritual bundle found in a funerary chamber in the mountains of southwest Bolivia, which held a smaller bag with remains of Cocaine, DMT, Harmine, Bufotenine, and possibly Psilocin. This is arguably the most psychoactive chemicals found in a single archaeological object. The bag also contained 2 snuff trays, a snuffing pipe (really nicely carved straw!) and 2 lama bone scrapers. The only object in the bag not specifically psychoactive related was a headband. https://www.pnas.org/content/early/2019/04/30/1902174116
