Here is our homestead pond/dugout a couple months after it was dug last summer. We were lucky that we have relatives that know how to operate heavy machinery so we only had to rent the excavator. It will be about 12 feet deep when full and is about 60 x 40' wide. In this picture it probably has about 3 feet of water in the bottom already.
