I'm raised southern country, and I love the outdoors. Especially primitive tent camping, boondocking(dry camping) canoeing, kayaking and sailing in navigable open water. Sitting on my deck with a cup of coffee, while watching a beautiful sunrise or beer around a campfire up on a mountain somewhere.
I enjoy amateur radio and have a extra class license. I enjoy communicating with people around the world, especially the HF bands and multi-mode simplex communication. My amateur radio call sign is AK4DR.
I enjoy traveling and do quite a bit especially on the east coast. I plan trips solely on cool places with restaurants/bars with great hot wings and local craft beer. I love road trips, although I prefer secondary roads over interstates. I like most ethnic foods as well as American comfort food. I enjoy eating breakfast, and rarely miss meals. I'm not a fan of fast food, and prefer quality restaurants with local owners over restaurant chains. My drink is Maker's Mark, neat. Also enjoy local wines and micro brews.
