Husband, Father, Artist, Addict, Soldier, Hermit. Neither hero nor villain, but I've had my ups and downs. Since my medical retirement from the US Army in 2011, I've been learning to live with depression, agoraphobia, and chronic pain, all while negotiating a truce with my addiction to opiates. Things are looking up. These days I'm clean by choice, and I've been working at that every day since early 2012. As you read this, I'm almost certainly curled up with a cat (or laptop) in front of the fire at my 40-acre homestead on Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Hi :) My name's Bev, and I love to learn. About anything and everything I can get my hands on. Not particularly political at all! I had a post surgical stroke at the age of 33, spent a year in the hospital relearning to walk and talk.. so now at 59, with way too much time on her handsI took up painting I live in Sarnia, Ont., have 3 children (all adults now) and 10 grandchildren...ranging from 23 yrs to 5 years old.
