Book Author Robert Horne, The Soul Reaver

The first book I wrote and will start adding a chapter as I read them. I have done a few chapters in test to see how they would sound in first person, but have been told the I may be over dramatizing so I started doing third person narration. I am producing the audios and learning as I go. I am contemplating just posting the experiments so I can get the story out here and or maybe (LOL) redo them. I will probably post a few of the experiments see what your feedback is. Since I can add MP3's directly here, I will be using soundcloud as a middleman interface. The Soul-Reaver is also known as the "Balance Bringer" reincarnated in a brutal way. Not that John (aka: Jicef Knight) would know. He was adopted, has been in and out of a few homes, he wasn't a bad kid. He is just a little different, "too quiet" they would say, "doesn't sleep just sits quietly in his room all night", never complains or asks for things, he made all the people he was placed with feel like they weren't really needed. With the exception of some stories about a strange cat no one else seems to see, he comes across as a normal, maybe overly quiet, but extremely polite and a very smart boy. If you ask him he would say he feels normal, but he is about to find out how far away from normal he really is and take some new friends along for the ride

The short Pre-Story to my book The Soul Reaver. Read to you by me. I hope you like. I would have made this exclusive to Minds but I can't upload MP3's, I am stuck using soundcloud as a middleman interface.

Look for Chapter 6 below "The Bear!"

Hunters chase a huge bear, send it right into the path of John and his Dad. I got a lot of feed back on this chapter, I did it in first person from John's point of view. I add a few sound effects with the bear and maybe over act a little. My feed back was about 50/50 for adults, either they were like "OMG that was AWESOME!" or they were like "That was a little too much for me.". Kids were about 100% loved it. But book publishers advised that I change to 3rd person and limit the drama and going forward I will start doing that.

In Chapter 2 John goes to school determined to get dirty or bullied and Blink finally tries to help him. Make sure to listen to Chapter one and join the Soul Reaver group so you won't miss next chapters!! :D

Written and read by me (Robert Horne) The story starts with John (aka: Jicef Knight) a 10 year old that has been with this set of adoptive parents for a little over a year now. He is learning how to act more like people expect him to. There are a few clues that seem out of place, like he never sleeps or even gets tired. He also has this weird cat that keeps blinking in and out of existence. But other than that he is normal and bullied just like most of the other kids, until today. Today the first domino of change falls.
