I am 59 years old. I am a double Veteran, having served honorably in the US Army, as an Infantry soldier. After my discharge, I again served as a Police Officer with the Atlanta Police Department, Atlanta, Georgia, USA. I was injured in the line of duty, and permanently paralyzed as a result. I have been in a wheelchair for 35 years as of this writing. I am also a double leg amputee, above the knee. The paralysis overshadows that loss significantly. If anyone has any questions about law enforcement or physical disability, I'm happy to help where I can...

I am what we are. When you succeed we all win, If I could help I win.I gain my strength one small heart felt moment of giving at a time, that in time you will want more for someone else as well. A stranger a victim or outcast, A refugee...at some point most of us have been one of them.

For a better learning, more concrete doubts are needed than abstract certainties, illusions are found in the details, that's the trick ;-)

Many live beings in the universe are looking for a spiritual ascent, paradise, to attain Buddhahood, to reach nirvana, I look for a much deeper and more true meaning in my existence, to reach the maximum state which I call the fuck state, when you reach this state you will be able through training to control all the synapses of your brain, so more than ignoring or despising any shitty sensation of bullshit your brain will not even process it, when you reach the fuck state you will get rid of all the mundane nonsense, so you can definitely ascend spiritually, many beings confuse this state with a reversal state, where the being imagines and personifies an intangible abstract unreal state mixing this with reality, so instead the ascension occurs the practical opposite.

English is not my native language, my personal goal here on minds is just to improve my others languages, another goal here is that it's a good place for share some things and many others interesting channels "Minds". my native language is Portuguese.
Therefore, I don't put personal opinions in my posts, I rarely do it, I enjoy just share some things that in my opinion are interesting, sometimes even a fake news is interesting for think, there is a little bit of truth in every lie.
I too doesn't like the political posts, because I don't know deeply the politics of others countries, then, I don't like to give opinions, however there are cases when it's impossible, a thing I avoid till the end :-)
I would appreciate to be corrected if I make any mistake.

Agent Smith:Why, Mr. Anderson? Why, why, why? Why do you do it? Why get up? Why keep fighting? Do you believe you're fighting for something? For more than your survival? Can you tell me what it is? Do you even know? Is it freedom? Or truth? Perhaps peace? Could it be for love? Illusions, Mr. Anderson. Vagaries of perception. Temporary constructs of a feeble human intellect trying desperately to justify an existence that is without meaning or purpose. And all of them as artificial as the Matrix itself, although only a human mind could invent something as insipid as love. You must be able to see it, Mr. Anderson. You must know it by now. You can't win. It's pointless to keep fighting. Why, Mr. Anderson? Why? Why do you persist?
Neo :Because I choose to.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”
– Marcus Tullius Cicero
(106-43 B.C.) Roman Statesman, Philosopher and Orator
Attributed to a speech in the Roman Senate in 58 BC as "Recorded by Sallust" in the fictional novel 'A Pillar of Iron,' by Taylor Caldwell (1983), ch. 5.
The quotation bears resemblance to Cicero's Second Oration against Cataline.
